If my driver's license is revoked in Michigan, will California enforce that?

Report Spam

I have a California driver's license and was in Michigan for work when I was arrested for DUI. This would be my second offense, and Michigan revokes your license on a second offense. It is extremely difficult to get it back once it is revoked. Would California enforce the revocation if I am convicted?

Yes. Both of these states are part of the interstate compact. What that means is that they agree to treat convictions in each other's states as though they had happened in the home state, for the purposes of imposing a suspension.
